Composing a Fantasy Adventure Game Theme using live Cello, Penny Whistle, Recorder and a bunch of VSTs including Native Instruments' beautiful 'Gamelan' set. My second assignment for Jason Graves' class was to create a magical fantasy theme, and here it is! I pushed myself to try and keep devloping the melody and harmony so nothing ever felt too stagnant, which for me helps drive the concept of 'adventure'. Composing an eerie Alfred Hitchcock style Thriller Score. I recently took advantage of the Spitfire Audio sale and bought the 'Cinematic Frozen Strings' for £23, incredible price for these world class samples. -Whilst playing around with them, this piece of music came out, which really reminded me of a Bernard Herrmann/Hitchcock film score. Composing a Medieval Metal score for an Action Video Game. I'm currently collaborating with Micro Studio, a team of very talented game design students at the University of Greenwich, London, headed by Peter Blenkharn. The game in development is a VR archery game called 'Parapet' set in an old castle, shooting at ferocious skeleton warriors! Paying tribute to the incredible Nicholas Britell and his sensational score for my favourite Star Wars series 'Andor'. With the release of series 2 out now, I wanted to make a short piece that was as close to the original score from series 1 as possible without using any of the thematic material. The series' music has a slightly warped 80s feel but with crunchy strings and horns giving it that epic Star Wars feel. I love the dissonance and tension, it really helps portray the bubbling beginnings of the rebel alliance.
